Look at the 6" and 8" block we stock and you'll see two cells. Other vendors' blocks have three. Here's why we only carry two-cell.
- Easier to fill. Most VI contractors and owners want every cell reinforced and filled solid. Two larger cells are far easier to fill with concrete and steel; three-cell block is nearly impossible to fill and reinforce properly.
- Lighter. Easier to handle and place correctly.
- Easier to line up. Cells stay properly staggered and still fill easily.
- Stronger sand. Our block is made with manufactured blue bitch sand, which is much stronger than other sands.
