Take a look at the 6” & 8” block we stock here at MSI and you will notice that they each have two cells while other vendor’s blocks are made with three cells. In keeping with our Island Tough policy, there are several reasons why we carry only the two cell block:
- Most VI contractors and their customers want the cells in the block to be reinforced and filled solid with concrete. The cells in the our two cell blocks are larger and easier to fill with concrete and reinforcing steel. The three cell block is virtually impossible to fill and reinforce.
- The blocks weigh less and they are easier to handle and place correctly.
- The two cell blocks are easier to line up so that the cells are properly staggered and are still easily filled.
- Our blocks are made with manufactured Blue Bitch Sand which is much stronger than other sands.
The products we sell at MSI are specifically designed for our Islands and that is why we sell two cell 6” and 8” Block. They are Island Tough. Why settle for less?
